Body Light Painting

About 4 years ago, a friend of mine came to me and asked me to help him do something special for his wife. She battled breast cancer and unfortunately had a double mastectomy. She felt very aware and ashamed of her self and this is where my friend had this idea…and idea that would completely put me out of my comfort zone in more ways than one. He wanted me to paint and photograph something ON his wife to hide the scars! Long story short, she sent me a picture she wanted and I started to research.

The first step was to get my airbrushing skills up to scratch again and then I needed to find a way to make this piece special. So I found some UV Bodypaint and I created a piece that blew my own mind.

I never expected anyone else to see this piece and before I knew it, I had a phone call from another lady that wanted something similar.

Unfortunately, Covid hit the world and I didn’t feel comfortable being so close to anyone (and it became “illegal”). I had to find another solution…what I found was even better!

What started as a favour for a close friend of mine has now snowballed into something much bigger and better!

The Airbrush died and “Body Light Painting” was born…
